StyleShopUSA reviews CONCEPT LA S/S 2015 COLLECTIONS

Aeneas Eirking : Photo & Video - Frankie XO for SZTV Media Group

OCTOBER 11th | ACE MUSEUM

It's a busy time LA Fashion Week, and that's mostly spent sifting the wheat from the chaff amidst the array of usual nightclub presentations and general chaos that accompany LA Fashion "Weeks" (about 2 weeks) but we did manage to find a few surprisingly interesting moments at Concept  LA to save us! Concept LA bring Art Fashion & Culture together to showcase emerging LA-based designers on the frontier of fashion. Despite the initial cluster..."cluck" door fiasco and lack of parking the patient large crowd eventually got into a very raw space at the Ace Museum waiting patiently chatting while the producers were still setting up , fanning themselves and looking around for the bar - which there was none!  the intense uncomfortable heat (no AC), was like taking a sauna clothed and waiting for the runway show to start we all lost quite a few pounds!~The Emily Daccarett - Runway Show  revealed some interesting finale gowns and pieces. Emily is an independent LA based designer who likes to take her inspiration from the 60's & 70's combining fit and classic tailored lines. to give a Luxury Modern Contemporary feel with a flair for the dramatic taking her cue from film.

Among the installations we found, Aeneas Erlking who brought us a few more interesting moments with a flashback to Punk meets Glam, meets Rock n'Roll , Femme Fatale and night of the Living Dead all rolled into one!

Other Installations were by: Mike Vensel |Mathiasen |
